There is a place that seems to be suspended in time..it is the Vicolo Carbonaio, a path that is located behind the historic center of San Miniato, the paths that rise along the ancient fortifications of the city and that were used for charcoal burners and by farmers to reach the center from the countryside. From here you can enjoy a panorama of the Gargozzi valley that is unmatched.                   In addition, a group of volunteers took care of arranging the alley and making it safe, allowing for splendid walks. Along the way there is an area where you can have a picnic by touching the sky with a finger, plants of rare beauty and unique panoramas. The alley rose garden is dedicated to women victims of violence and a new rose is planted every year on November 25th in the world day against female violence. Access is from via Giosué Carducci, in front of the Church of the Nunziatina.
